Full Job Description: Sheet Metal Apprentice
Salary Grade: Hourly 10 / H-10 ($21.75 - $35.00/hr)

Position Summary: The Sheet Metal Apprentice is expected to perform a variety of duties including completing all assigned work orders in all in a timely manner. Reporting labor, cost, and any pertinent notes/information accurately regarding all assigned work orders and return to supervisor daily. Must be conscientious, have experience in all areas of job responsibilities and exhibit good workmanship. Must work in a safe manner as to not become injured.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion from an accredited trade school is preferred
Experience:
- Three (3) years of experience working with commercial/industrial applications of sheet metal is preferred
- Experience installing new HVAC air ducts with experience related to commercial grade fire dampers, fresh air intakes, and similar equipment
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.:
- Possess or ability to obtain a current state mechanical journeyperson license with sheet metal endorsement
- Possess or ability to obtain an Oklahoma driver's license
- Thorough understanding of city codes and regulations
- Extensive knowledge regarding sheet metal fabrication
- Additional mechanical endorsements preferred (such as gas piping, heating, and AC) Must have working knowledge with blueprints, sketches, and product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabrication, assembling, and installing sheet metal products
- Knowledge repair and maintenance of sheet metal products
- Ability to use CMMS software
- Proficient or willing to learn Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to occasionally lift more than 50 lbs. assisted
- Ability to climb ladders and scaffolds
