Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and results-driven Marketing Product & Segment Specialist to lead marketing and promotional campaigns for high school and military audiences across the Tulsa Welding School (TWS) and The Refrigeration School (RSI) brands. This role is critical in developing and executing tailored marketing strategies to engage high school students, educators, parents/guardians, and military personnel transitioning to civilian careers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Gen Z behaviors, digital and social media trends, and experience creating compelling content and campaigns to resonate with younger audiences. Additionally, the candidate should be adept at creating materials and campaigns for military audiences, including veterans and active-duty personnel preparing for civilian life.
This position works closely with the national High School and Military Admissions teams and reports to the marketing team, while supporting specific initiatives for these key audience segments.
Responsibilities:
High School Segment
- Partner with the national High School Admissions team to support recruitment efforts targeting high school seniors and recent graduates.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies, materials, and campaigns to engage Gen Z audiences, including:
- Social media content creation, video production, and other digital strategies that resonate with this audience.
- Presentations, brochures, and communications tailored for high school educators, administrators, and guidance counselors.
- Marketing materials and messaging to appeal to parents and guardians as key decision-makers.
- Identify and coordinate participation in high school events, trade shows, and presentations.
- Act as a subject matter expert on Gen Z marketing trends and integrate insights into campaigns.
Military Segment
- Collaborate with the national Military Admissions team to create marketing materials, campaigns, and promotions appealing to active-duty military transitioning to civilian life and veterans.
- Develop marketing collateral for military audiences, including event booths, banners, POP displays, and promotional items.
- Support participation in military base events and recruitment efforts by creating compelling and targeted campaigns.
- Craft messaging that highlights how TWS and RSI programs align with the needs and career goals of transitioning military personnel and veterans.
Marketing Materials Development
- Create engaging marketing collateral, both printed and digital, for high school and military audiences.
- Focus on amplifying targeted segmentation strategies including relevant messaging, content and creative, media channels, events to reach critical demographics by geography including: indigenous/tribal populations, Hispanic populations.
- Design and produce high-quality presentations, signage, promotional items, and digital assets tailored for each segment.
- Ensure all marketing materials align with brand standards and resonate with target audiences.
Collaboration & Relationship Building
- Build and maintain excellent rapport with High School and Military Admissions teams, as well as campus staff and functional areas.
- Work closely with educators, counselors, military base contacts, and community leaders to build awareness and credibility for TWS and RSI.
- Serve as a liaison between the marketing team and High School/Military Admissions teams to ensure alignment on strategy and execution.
Digital Marketing & Analytics
- Leverage social media platforms, email campaigns, and video marketing to reach and engage target audiences.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing data-driven insights to improve results.
- Utilize CRM and analytics tools to track leads, conversions, and ROI.
Event Management
- Organize and attend high school events, trade shows, military base events, and community outreach programs to promote skilled trades education.
- Act as a brand ambassador for TWS and RSI, delivering presentations and engaging with prospective students and key stakeholders.
Required Knowledge, Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. 3–5 years of marketing experience, preferably with a focus on high school, Gen Z, or military audiences. Experience with social media marketing, video production (smartphone proficiency), and event marketing.
Skills & Competencies
- Proven ability to create and execute marketing strategies that resonate with Gen Z and military audiences.
- Expertise in digital marketing, including social media, video creation, SEM, SEO, and PPC campaigns.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft messages for diverse audiences, including students, educators, parents, and veterans.
- Exceptional creativity in developing engaging, on-brand content and materials.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience in education, military recruitment, or skilled trades marketing.
- Knowledge of CRM systems and data analytics tools.
