Position Summary

Your primary role as a Maintenance Technician will be to do the work necessary to keep our machines, mechanical equipment, and the structure of our campus buildings in good repair.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Facilities and working throughout our campus, you will:

Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
Repair or replace defective equipment parts and reassemble equipment.
Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals and part catalogs, as necessary.
Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms.
Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments, and electrical and electronic testing devices.
One of the highlights of working at our school is attending our semi-annual graduation ceremonies, watching students walk the stage as they complete their program; attendance is mandatory.

Required Knowledge, Education, and Experience:

The successful applicant will have a High School diploma or GED, with a minimum of two years related field experience.
