What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chef position at Tumbledown Farm to Fork?
We are a busy and growing farm to table restaurant with about 200 seats.
We have a great team, we are just looking for a seasoned leader or working “coach” to keep us growing.
We also have a wedding and event venue in a neighboring town. Managing the catering for the venue and our in house events is an important aspect of the job.
The ideal candidate for this position is dynamic, creative, proven, and consistent.
Must have experience managing and leading a busy kitchen and the ability to develop and manage a menu centered around our farm products.
Must have experience in managing food costs and should have strong budgeting and reporting skills.
Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to hire and train kitchen staff, supervise the kitchen and communicate regularly with the owner and other managers.
Responsibilities:
- Check that all food is prepared according to recipes and meet the required quality standards.
- Check that the kitchen area is clean and tidy.
- Ensure that all food is properly labelled, stored, and rotated according to Food Safety guidelines.
- Ensure that proper hazard analysis for food safety management is being practiced at all times.
- More responsibilities to be discussed upon experience.
