Job Title: Front Desk Receptionist
Job Summary: Must promote Tumbleweed Core Values (Culture of Character, Personal Responsibility, Extraordinary Experiences, People Centered, Trust and Transformational Change) and the mission and vision of the organization.
This position performs various functions, including providing clerical and customer support duties. Provides youth, donors, community partners and team members with their first impression and, in some cases, first interaction with Tumbleweed. The impression needs to be respectful, helpful, and ready to provide assistance. Must possess a clear understanding of Tumbleweed programs and services and have the ability to remain calm in crisis situations. Tumbleweed serves a diverse population of vulnerable youth in a low-barrier setting. This position must treat youth with unconditional positive regard regardless of sexual orientation, cultural background, and life choices. All front desk communications must be delivered professionally and in a courteous manner.
Core Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required. One year minimum of administrative support experience in a fast paced environment preferred.
- Computer skills for data recording and record keeping.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to problem solve, be compassionate, firm and to deal calmly in crisis.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters.
- Possess flexibility to respond to changing priorities as needs arise to assist other team members and youth.
Essential Functions of the Position:
- Answer incoming phone calls and transfer to appropriate team member.
- Front desk coverage welcoming, directing youth, donors, board members and community partners.
- Handle receipt of drop-off donations. Ensure that all donations are properly documented and acknowledged.
- Handle receipt of all cash and in-kind donations.
- Maintain shared Outlook calendars and provide meeting scheduling as requested.
- Prioritizes multiple demands to provide maximum service levels to youth, donors, community partners and team members
- Assist in data entry, file creation and maintenance.
- Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
- Assist in planning and communication of a variety of events to include donor lunches and special fundraising events.
- All other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:
The employee must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
