Overview:
The Contract Conformance Specialist (CCS) is responsible for managing day-to-day contract compliance for assigned capital and maintenance projects. This includes facilitating documentation and communication between the company and contractors to ensure contractual obligations are met, and resolving contractual issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with project contracting strategies.
- Prepare and review contract exhibits, including scope, specifications, pricing, and instructions.
- Support contract negotiations and incorporate project-specific requirements into final documents.
- Maintain contractor correspondence and documentation logs.
- Manage the change order process, including tracking, reviewing, and preparing change orders.
- Review contractor invoices for compliance and oversee payment processes.
- Coordinate with project teams to resolve contractual issues and ensure contract close-out.
- Provide assistance during audits and ensure proper documentation retention.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, legal, or business with 4 years of experience in contract administration or construction-related projects, preferably in the gas pipeline industry; or an associate’s degree with 7-10 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of contracting processes and energy industry construction projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other office applications.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Desired Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong technical writing, negotiation, and team collaboration skills.
- Proactive in resolving issues before escalation.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports directly to the Area Construction Manager and indirectly to the Contract Conformance Regional Lead.
Project Scope:
- Projects with budgets up to $400MM per year and durations of up to four years.
