Description
We are seeking a Data Analyst where you will play a crucial role in establishing partnerships with source system data owners to understand and document requirements related to data usage. You will be supporting our top clients globally. You will be responsible for analyzing, querying, and manipulating data according to defined business rules and procedures. Root cause analysis for data errors, preparing ad-hoc reports, ensuring data quality standards, and determining business impact levels for data quality issues are key aspects of this role.
Responsibilities:
- Establish partnerships with source system data owners to understand and document requirements.
- Analyze, query, and manipulate data according to defined business rules.
- Perform root cause analysis for data errors and identify steps for remediation.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports at the request of managers or leaders.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of work while adhering to data quality standards.
Skills:
- Strong Data Management and Metadata Analysis skills.
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with implementing and measuring Data Quality and Controls.
- Strong knowledge of Excel. (Pivot table, vLookup)
- Familiarity with logical data models.
- Experience with SQL and Python are a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree within Finance/Accounting preferred; open to other studies with extensive training provided.
- Banking, product/financial services, auditing, or compliance experience preferred.
