What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baywood Spray Application Technician position at Tunnell Companies, LP?
Baywood Greens Golf Course and Community is currently seeking a Spray Application Technician to join our team. Located just minutes from Rehoboth and Dewey Beach, Baywood is a great place to work during the day and enjoy the local beach towns after hours. This position will be responsible for making fertilizer and plant protectant applications on the golf course and in our residential community. Golf course or lawncare experience is preferred. We have a robust training program, regardless of experience. We offer flexible scheduling, room to grow within our department, and emphasize a healthy work/life balance.
Hours of Employment:
Typically Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 3:00pm, with occasional required work on weekends.
Responsibilities
- Apply fertilizers and plant protectant products to various areas of the property using our Multi-Pro sprayers, Vicon spreaders, walk spreaders, and backpack sprayers.
- All applications must be in accordance with our BMP strategy as directed by our management team.
- Perform general maintenance tasks on the property as needed.
Qualifications
- Motivated individual with the ability to work unsupervised
- Physical ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. up to 30 feet.
- Physical ability to operate small-powered equipment and hand tools.
- Physical ability to perform general maintenance tasks
- Must have or obtain a DE Commercial Pesticide Applicator License within 120 days of employment.
