We are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our Land Sculptors department. Responsibilities
- Assist crew members and supervisors with various tasks related to specific jobs, including demolition, carrying materials, and construction activities.
- Help with grading and preparing grounds, parking areas, and driveways using motor-graders, dozers, backhoes, and front-end loaders.
- Continuously monitor the work site and equipment to detect and protect against unsafe or hazardous conditions.
- Signal equipment operators to assist with the alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
- Clean the job site at the end of the day, ensuring trash is properly disposed of and materials or equipment are properly stored.
- Assist with cutting, laying, and fitting pipe for water, storm lines, and wastewater systems.
- Keep accurate records of work time spent on each piece of equipment or vehicle.
- Maintain equipment, tools, and work facilities in a clean and good condition.
- Operate all vehicles or equipment related to the job.
- Drive to pick up parts from area suppliers.
- Inspect assigned machinery and vehicles prior to use each day, including spot-checking fluid levels and checking for damages.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform strenuous manual labor, including frequent walking, bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, moving, and carrying equipment, tools, and materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Strong communication skills with supervisors and co-workers.
- Proficiency in handling various tools and heavy equipment.
- Willingness to observe all safety precautions to protect against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals, etc.
- Ability to respond to instructions and acquire skills quickly through on-the-job training.
- Capability to perform heavy manual work for extended periods under all weather conditions.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
