Job Description & Duties
- Wholesale parts consultant for IAM and other GM dealerships
- Assists wholesale account customers in selecting required parts or accessories in a friendly, professional and efficient manner.
- Locates or orders parts as needed
- Prepares invoices for parts to be delivered to wholesale customers
- Maintains and solicits wholesale accounts in person and by telephone
- Keeps parts manager informed on the status of accounts
- Maintains professional appearance
- Fully dedicated to growing the Dealership's IAM business
- Communicates and interfaces with GM Field Manager Aftersales on a regular basis
- Persuasive individual skilled on gaining commitments
- Self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction
- Maintains face-to-face exposure with customers
- Meets daily activity levels and KPI Benchmarks
- Understand each customer’s business model and consult on business growth and increasing profitability
- Listens to what the customer needs are and determines best actions to meet them
- Stays on top of industry trends to identify potential opportunities for parts growth
- Prospects and acquires new business
- Leverages CRM tool for reporting insight in conjunction w/ parts manager & rep
- Evaluate order trends, purchase behavior and declining sales
- Understands and is able to convey monthly promotions to existing and prospective customers
- Understands and is able to execute Repairlink, Collisionlink, and GM Rewards in the IAM
Skills/Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability in meeting sales objectives
- Impeccable interpersonal communication skills
- Thorough understanding of the industry and industry trends
- Familiarity with marketing strategies and consumer psychology
- Proficiency with the word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Clean driving record and background check
- High school diploma
- Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of automotive and collision repair industry
