Job Overview
As a Hospice Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate end-of-life care to patients in hospice settings. You will work closely with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comfort and dignity during this sensitive time.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments to alleviate symptoms and manage pain
- Monitor patient conditions and collaborate with healthcare professionals to adjust care plans
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families
- Educate patients and families on end-of-life care options
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Coordinate care with other healthcare providers to ensure holistic patient well-being
Qualifications
- Experience in hospice is a plus
- Strong background in home health and hospice infection control
- Familiarity with medical-surgical procedures
- Compassionate nature and excellent communication skills
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 12 per week
