Warehouse and Inventory Technician
The Warehouse and Inventory Technician moves, delivers and stores raw materials and finished goods in Production or Warehouse areas. Maintains accurate inventory transactions of all materials, maintains a safe and orderly warehouse, and achieves inventory accuracy of 98%.
Warehouse and Inventory Technician Duties:
- Improves efficiency of the warehouse by implementing process improvements and ensuring inventory accuracy.
- Puts away materials in an accurate and timely manner and achieves shop floor expedite and routine picks to targeted support times including related system transactions.
- Ensures the accuracy of all receipts and issues against applicable paperwork and system data where applicable.
- Monitors the stockroom inventory and alerts site lead buyer of any discrepancies and the other issues (low stock, expiring stock for example)
- Conducts root cause and corrective actions for inventory discrepancies.
- Executes cycle counts per cycle counting schedule established by finance and the Director of Supply Chain and Planning
- Coordinates with the shipping receiving department for additional labor support to meet Warehouse performance targets based on workload.
- Uses approved material handling equipment to move parts/assemblies safely throughout shop as required per pick tickets.
- Responsible for following all safety requirements and department procedures/work instructions applicable to job requirements.
- Manages rejected inventory.
- Support backup functions for logistics as a company driver supporting all three TurbineAero Sites (TAR/TET/TEC) as required
- Supports the larger Stores management team as required including overtime
- Other functions as assigned by manager.
Requirements
Warehouse and Inventory Technician Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- Experience in warehouse environment and familiarity with FEDEX and UPS
- A valid driver’s license with no moving violations in the last three years (coy of DMB record required)
- OSHA forklift driving certification
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
