Description
Position Overview: Sanvean Technologies is a privately held company founded in 2015 to design, develop and manufacture innovative downhole measurement and control-systems technology for oil and gas drilling. Sanvean is looking for an Entry-Level Embedded-Systems Software (Firmware) Engineer. A self-motivated, hardworking, punctual and detail-oriented person is needed for development of microcontroller-based embedded-systems software (Firmware) and associated PC-based test software used for engineering, test equipment and product support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and debug embedded-systems hardware and software.
- Working with other engineers and the end users must be able to identify embedded-systems-software (firmware) requirements and generate requirements and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in embedded systems through debugging and root-cause analysis.
- Must be a self-starter, with senior engineering guidance, capable of taking responsibility for a project from concept through specification, design, coding, testing, and support.
- Must be a good listener and problem solver, capable of getting input from end users and customers and identifying and making changes which improve the performance of the embedded-systems software (firmware).

Qualifications
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required.
- Prior experience in developing microcontroller-based embedded-systems software applications using C, a plus.
- Experience in developing multi-threaded applications on Microsoft Windows platforms using C#/C , a plus.
- Experience in developing Java, Python, R and MATLAB applications, a plus.
- Experience in developing applications on Android and IOS platforms, a plus.
- Experience in developing embedded-systems software for use with Microchip products, a plus.
- Experience in developing SQL database applications, a plus.
- Experience with PC-based application software for real-time communications, such as USB, a plus.
- Experience with code coverage, static analysis tools, revision control tools and testing methodologies, a plus.
Salary : $50,000 - $70,000
