QC Inspector

Description

The QC Inspector’s responsibility is to make sure that the products and the manufacturing process meet Turbo Drill Industries, Inc’s quality and safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect parts, assemblies and subassemblies to drawings and prints.
• Initiate non-conformance reports on all parts and assemblies that are not to drawing and print specifications.
• Assure that manufactured units meet quality control procedures, engineering specifications and customer requirements.
• Initiate corrective action requests when conditions adverse to quality are repetitive in nature.
• Complete, inspect, and distribute all quality records and documents.
• Perform specialized testing as required.
• Use basic hand tools to repair minor imperfections to threads.
• Verify tests as required on all components and completed assemblies.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in QA/QC.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) to interact with co-workers, managers, customers, and vendors.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment around large and noisy equipment.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Balancing; climbing up to 8 feet; crouching; feeling; manual dexterity; handling; hearing; kneeling; lifting and carrying over 50 lbs; pulling; pushing; reaching arm’s length; standing for long periods of time; stooping; walking; visual acuity (visual perception of detail at distances close to the eyes, data and figures, computer terminal, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts.
