What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator- Waterjet (TAE) - Aerospace - 3rd Shift position at TURBOCAM International?
Want to make parts that FLY around the world? TURBOCAM’s Aerospace division is looking for a Machine Operator to operate our cutting-edge waterjet machines! We offer starting pay of $21.00/hour and 3rd shift is eligible for 22% shift differential, equating to $25.62/hour when working on 3rd shift!
This isn’t a standard Machine Operator role – In addition to daily normal production as an operator, this is an opportunity to use waterjet machines in creative and innovative ways, such as cutting intricate jet engine components out of Inconel up to 3/4" thick. We accomplish this by using our custom 5-axis programs created with top-of-the-line programming software as well as our custom in-house designed and manufactured fixturing. This process is constantly being improved upon and this the perfect role for someone who loves to stay busy, troubleshoot, and enjoys looking for creative solutions. Bring Your Expertise:
- You have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- You love a challenge and are always looking for creative solutions to problems.
- A general knowledge of plumbing would be beneficial, but not required.
- You come from a hands-on environment, are skilled in a trade, and are eager to apply that experience to cutting-edge manufacturing (preferred, not required)
- If you have experience in a manufacturing/production environment or running CNC machines, GREAT! But if not, you have a can-do attitude, serious ownership, and a thirst for learning.
- You are self-motivated and take initiative to learn and grow.
- You’re a natural leader. Preference will be given to candidates with some leadership experience and the desire to continue to grow in this area.
- Knowledge of measuring equipment and good math skills will go a long way. You must be thorough and able to follow instructions carefully.
- You embrace creativity, but are always looking to understand the how and why first.
- You value teamwork and have good interpersonal communication and organization skills. You keep it professional, but can also have a good laugh.
