What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network & Systems Administrator II (CORP) – 1st Shift position at TURBOCAM International?
- Continually planning, reviewing, implementing, and maintaining a network and systems architecture and technology strategy that supports the company’s mission and business objectives.
• Developing and maintaining network and systems architecture documentation.
• Developing, testing, and maintaining disaster recovery plans and procedures.
• Developing and maintaining appropriate network and systems security policies and procedures, including but not limited to:
• Network authentication protocols, password policies, virus and spyware protection, and intrusion detection.
• Researching and recommending new and emerging technologies.
• Recommending and developing vendor relationships.
• Installing, upgrading, repairing, configuring, testing, monitoring, optimizing and supporting;
o All LAN/WAN network hardware, including but not limited to: cabling, patch panels, switches, routers, wireless access points, and wireless bridges.
o All server hardware, including fixtures and environment.
All back-end server systems, including but not limited to: Microsoft Window Server (Group Policy, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, WINS, Certificate Services, DFS, NPS, IIS, Windows SharePoint Services, Print Server, Virtual Machine Management Software), Email Systems, Database Servers, Security and Firewall Systems.
o Phone Systems.
• Providing guidance to the Network & Systems Administrator I and is an escalation point to the Desktop Support Analysts, assisting in troubleshooting and diagnosing complex problems.
• Effectively utilizing work order ticketing system to manage operational tasks.
• Completing quarterly training as defined by supervisor.
• Performing other duties as necessary.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5 years’ experience as a Network & Systems Administrator.
• CCNA certification or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Qualified as a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in MS Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Must be highly customer focused and service oriented.
• Must have good attention to detail and high analytical problem-solving abilities.
