What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Consultant/Account Manager position at Turf Boss?
Turf Boss is a fast growing fertilization and weed control company. We pride ourselves on our work ethic and company culture which is different than other companies in our industry. Turf Boss is looking for an Inbound/Outbound Sales Representative to find new customers and generate leads, as well as completing any company leads provided.
1. Position description: The Customer Service Representative is the “face” of the company to clients and customers. As such he or she must have a pleasant demeanor and look out for the best interest of the client/customer.
2. Reports to: The Customer Service Representative reports directly to the owner of the company.
3. Responsibilities:
- Maintains and updates CRM software daily: notes, client information, request, phone conversations, etc.
- Informs the Sales or General Manager of any unresolved issues.
- Thoroughly understands and complies with company policies, procedures, and SOPs.
- Assists in the development and implementation of the company’s customer service protocol.
- Assists in the development and implementation of the company’s training goals.
- Manage an assigned territory by cold calling, warm calling, and follow up with current and future clients by telephone, face to face, email, text in a timely manner.
- Work as directed to achieve sales goals and support team members. By achieving sale goals bonus will be given.
- Offer all services to all prospects/customers that Turf Boss can help them with.
- Accurately measure and price all areas to be serviced
- Accurately complete a Property Site Inspection form for all prospected clients
- Explain the benefits and features of all services and set realistic expectations
- Knowledge and understanding of lawn care
- Ongoing training will be provided.
- Always represent yourself and the company in a professional and ethical manner
- Knowledge and understanding of all turf types, weed types, growth habits, disease and cycles. Knowledge and understanding of proper cultural practices for lawns, trees, and shrubs
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Explore all opportunities to network and build referral partnerships
- Post sales data daily
- Properly enter sales data for new accounts
- Properly maintain and care for company property including phone, tablets and vehicles issued to you
- Keep all customer information confidential
- attend all weekly meetings
4. Skill set and educational requirements: The Customer Service Representative must possess the following skill set and educational background:
- Possess a valid driver’s license and must be insurable on company’s insurance policy.
- Have a clean criminal record and pass a drug test.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Calendar, etc.
- Proficient in or able to learn customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Proficient in or able to learn company customer service telephone system utilization and protocol.
- Proficient in typing and capable of typing 40 WPM with fewer than three mistakes.
- Able to represent the company in a courteous and professional manner.
- Must have 2 years experience in Lawn Care and/or Landscaping Industry
