The crew leader position is part educator, part leader, part skilled laborer:
- An excellent candidate is keen to share their knowledge with the landscaping apprentices, training them with an online platform that includes a library of training videos, tests and in the field training.
- This candidate will be a part of the leadership team at Turf Tamers, meeting on a regular basis with the administrative staff and owners. They will be a part of many decisions for the betterment of the company such as identifying the ideal customer and job, hiring crew member/apprentices based on "fit", creating and maintaining efficiency systems at the shop and yard. As the season commences the leadership team will continuously review decisions and pivot as necessary, continual feedback will be provided and encouraged.
- A great candidate has the experience and skill necessary to not only complete the job, but to be careful to budget well the estimated time and materials for project in order to meet time/materials goals.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance and landscaping techniques
- Strong supervisory skills with a background in leading teams
- Proficient in lawn care, groundskeeping, and horticulture practices
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and tree care
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and maintenance skills
- Familiarity with gardening principles and construction-related tasks
Daily Activities
- Morning training and safety talks with crew. Crew leader will lead discussion.(Crew of 3)
- Mowing, weed whacking, blowing weekly route of residential and commercial properties (everyone contributes, takes turns on each machine)
- Spring/Fall Activities: Clean ups, pruning, hedge trimming, aerations, dethatch, fertilizer, overseed
- Gas up truck, clean up truck, dump debris (all on site at shop)
- Repeat!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
