We are seeking a skilled Golf Course Mechanic to join our team and maintain the mechanical aspects of our golf course equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in small engine repair, hydraulic systems, and general maintenance procedures. As a Golf Course Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning and longevity of our fleet of mowers, and other equipment essential for course maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on golf course equipment such as mowers, utility vehicles, and turf management machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient operations.
- Assist in the ordering and procurement of replacement parts and supplies.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Operate equipment safely and proficiently.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent or management team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in a golf course or landscaping environment.
- Strong knowledge of small engine repair, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- vocational or technical training is a plus.
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
