What are the responsibilities and job description for the Copy Of Maintenance Technician position at TURF VALLEY RESORT AND CONF CNTR?
Maintenance Mechanic/Technician. This individual will perform various repairs, preventative maintenance and other duties. This individual must have weekend availability.
A. Variety of diverse task assignments throughout the hotel
- Repairing
- Installing
- Removing
- Building
- Testing and Preventing
B. Task assignments pertain to a variety of specialties:
- HVAC/Refrigeration
- Electrical work
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- General repairs
C. Other duties as assigned.
II. SAFETY
- Never put the safety of guests, employees or yourself at risk
- Follow all lock out/tag out procedures
- Use all safety guards on all power operated equipment
- Use safety glasses when appropriate
III. TOOLS AND KEYS
- Responsible for supplying your own hand tools
- Responsible for the security, maintenance, and repair of tools
- Follow proper safety procedures when using power tools
IV. MAINTENANCE TICKET SYSTEM
- Problems that need repair will be posted through an online ticket system
- Once assigned a ticket, document and communicate about repairs through system and/or directly to management
V. CLEANING
- Keep a clean and organized work area
- Use care when moving personal items or hotel property out of the work area
VI. CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS
- Interact effectively and professionally with guests and employees
- Communicate routinely with the front desk staff
Job Requirements:
- Must have 2 years of experience and demonstrated knowledge in maintenance
- Must have some experience with Plumbing and/or Basic Electricity
- Automobile Mechanic experience will be considered
- HVAC experience is a plus, but not required
- Must have your own hand tools
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to perform physical activities including: walking, bending, lifting, carrying, climbing ladders, operating motorized vehicles, etc
- Must be able to stand and/or walk 6 to 8 hours per day
- Must be able to pass background check
- Weekend availability
Educational Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent desired
- Basic computer skills
- Trade school is a plus
