Turf Valley is looking for a Guest Room Attendant.
Duties and Responsibilities:
START OF DAY
- Check list of rooms assignments
- Obtain room keys from Supervisor
- Gather supplies from chemical room, maid and linen closet
- Clean check-outs first, then stayovers
- Wear latex gloves
CLEANING ROOMS
- Announce “Housekeeping” while knocking on door and again when you enter room
- Open curtains, turn off lamps and overhead lights
- Remove dirty linens from the bed and bathroom

- Place in laundry bag on cart
- Remake the bed with fresh linens
- Empty trash cans into trash container on cart

- Empty any liquids down toilet
- Wipe out any soiled trash cans
- Bathroom

- Spray counter, floor, toilet and tub with cleaner
- Wash down with sponge
- Towel wipe dry
- Place fresh towels in the holders
- Replenish amenities (soaps, shampoo, tissues, etc.)
- Clean all mirrors with water, paper towels and glass cleaner
- Dust room in a circular motion

- All fixtures
- Furniture
- Spot check room to ensure clean and neat appearance

- All books are in the appropriate place
- All cords, lampshade seams, cushion tags and zippers are not showing
- Replace laundry bag if needed
- Hangers arranged correctly
- Drapes and sheers positioned correctly
- Average 15-20 minutes per room cleaning
USE TELEPHONE TO ENTER CLEANED ROOMS INTO THE COMPUTER SYSTEM
LOST AND FOUND PROCEDURES
- Place items in a clear trash bag
- Label the bag with date, room number and your name
- Place the bag in the Housekeeping Office

- Adhere to Smoking Laws
- Adhere to Sexual Harassment Policy
- Adhere to Alcohol & Drug Policies
- Follow Procedures for Using Chemicals
- Follow Procedures for Handling Bloodborne Pathogens
Physical Demands:
- Lift Up to 15 Lbs.
- Standing 4 Hours at a Time (with breaks)
- Bending, Squatting and Kneeling Frequently
- Reaching at Arm’s Length
- Wear Latex Gloves
