We are looking for a Director of Sales.
The Director of Sales is the leader of the property's group sales efforts. This position will oversee the team's reactive and proactive sales efforts. Providing day to day leadership oversight to the Account Executives while having a shared responsibility in building value-based customer relationships. The Director of Sales will have the accountability for verifying that the team maximizes group revenue opportunities. This role will also ensure growth in the teams sales skills as well as motivating the team in the ever changing selling environment.

MANAGEMENTMENT RESPONSIBILITIES :
Create the annual booking goals for the sales members.Develops and manages group sales revenue and operation budgets and provides forecasting reportsDevelops and implements group sales initiativesShared responsibility to develop and implement marketing plans that address sales revenues, value-based customer relations, increase market shareExecutes and supports Turf Valley Resort's customer service standards and resort brand standardsShared responsibility in participating in industry events and tradeshowsManages the reactive and pro-active sales approachWhen necessary, solicit and book new businessCoordinate and deploy sales resources on-property to communicate and sustain any sales strategies or selling initiativesResponsible for accuracy in all proposals to ensure pricing structures are maintainedResponsible for reviewing and ensuring accuracy in all contracts before they are presented to the client.Ensure accuracy and consistency in communication in all banquet event ordersMonitors and when necessary, handles effective resolution of guest issues. Involve property leadership team as necessary and appropriateTrain and mentor sales associates utilizing all available on the job training toolsDIRECTOR / EXECUTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES :
Develop close working relationships with operations teams to execute sales strategiesShared responsibilities in growth and development plans for the companyMaintain accountability to ensure the Sales Department maximizes revenues, up-sells and accurately forecasts revenuesApprove all purchase orders for departmental needsDevelop departmental budgetHandle annual forecast for banquet and rooms revenue for budgeting purposesOversee and approve all departmental spending to ensure budget is not exceededAttend Executive Committee Meetings weeklyAttend Weekly meetings with Directors as needed / scheduledAttend Quarterly meetings with Food and Beverage Director and Banquet ManagersMeet with ownership on an as needed basisMeet regularly with Director of Marketing as neededBe proficient in booking systems for catering and guest roomsBe the role model for the sales experience Turf Valley Resort wants their clients to haveAdhere to all state and federal laws and regulationsMaintain a drug free environmentPERSONNEL :

2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major. PreferredMinimum of 4 years' experience in sales at a full-service hotel. RequiredAbility to demonstrate skills required to hold this position.
