Event Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of events like weddings, conferences, business meetings and parties held in the event center, including the operation of dining service during racing season and concession services during events like concerts. The Event Manager will ensure the seamless execution of these operations by managing staff, managing budgets, coordinating food and beverage service, and addressing guest concerns to meet client expectations and deliver a memorable experience.
Key responsibilities of the Event Manager :
- Event Planning : Meeting with clients to understand their needs, developing event proposals, designing layouts, selecting menus, and coordinating décor.
- Staff Management : Hiring, training, and scheduling banquet staff including servers, bartenders, and setup crew to ensure efficient event operations.
- Financial Management : Developing and adhering to event budgets, tracking expenses related to food, beverage, labor, and rentals. Assisting in the timely execution of accurate invoices to clients following the completion of the event.
- Venue Setup : Overseeing the setup and breakdown of banquet rooms, including table arrangements, linens, and audiovisual equipment.
- Food and Beverage Coordination : Collaborating with the kitchen to ensure timely food service, managing beverage orders, and addressing any dietary restrictions.
