The HRBP makes an impact by-
- Consults with direct line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with legal counsel as needed/required
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
- Supports the processing of new hires, promotions, and transfers
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning
- Coordinates the Unemployment Compensation (UC) process and participates in UC hearings
- Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs
- Maintains personnel records for employees in respective business units
- Partner with other human resource associates to ensure department goals and objectives are met
- Perform all duties in compliance with all corporate and regulatory quality, GLP, and safety regulations
- Perform all duties within established Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and FSMA guidelines as well as all safety regulations
- Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the Safe Quality Foods (SQF) Food Safety and Quality
- Demonstrates the ability to engage work in department and cross-functional teams to define and implement process improvements that provide value to the customer
- Be accountable to the Turkey Hill Food Safety and Quality Principles
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field and/or 2-4 years of related experience
- PHR or SHRM-CP highly preferred
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver presentations and training at all levels in the organization.
- Ability to organize and prioritize complex projects
- High degree of professional judgment and the ability to act independently
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- The employee is required to talk and/or hear in an office setting (noise level is low) and manufacturing setting where noise levels can be high (PPE required).
- The employee is frequently required to stand and walk in an office or manufacturing environment from 4-8 hours.
- The employee must be able to ascend and descend stairs, and where applicable and when necessary, to perform various job-related tasks
- Must be able to position self to move, reach with arms/hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed to perform various job-related tasks
- The employee must be able to inspect all job-related equipment (office or floor) to ensure it is in good working condition prior to use. Must be able to use hands/fingers to handle (or feel) to operate various types of office equipment.
- Must be able to operate all job-related equipment (powered, hand or office) as required
- Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and adjust focus
- Ability to lift 20 pounds and/or push/pull 20 pounds on a regular or occasional basis
- Must have ability to travel to clients, customers, or other work sites by a variety of transportation methods
