Maintenance Specialist

Based in Picayune, MS the Maintenance Specialist is responsible for preventative maintenance and emergency repairs for all of the packaging and operating equipment within the facility. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, your core skills in mechanical knowledge, schematics, and facilities maintenance will be crucial in troubleshooting and repairing equipment.

Essential duties:
1. Quickly diagnose the source of failures and make emergency repairs to all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic systems as needed to return them to service and minimize production downtime.
2. Assist production staff in performing their duties through direction, training, and assistance.
3. Assist production operations in setting up equipment and making running adjustments to maintain maximum efficiency. Including annually auditing assigned equipment to improve or develop PM’s, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures.
4. Maintain a clean and orderly work area, returning tools, equipment, and supplies to the appropriate storage areas after each assignment.
5. Responsible for performing preventative maintenance on all equipment.
6. Observe equipment in operation to prevent/diagnose potential problems.
7. Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove, repair and replace defective parts.
8. Identify, suggest, propose, and discuss solutions to equipment and facility issues with management.
9. Develop and maintain maintenance logs on all equipment.

Additional Responsibilities:
1. Participate in Safety Programs and uphold the Safety Culture
2. Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
3. Troubleshoot Fanuc Robotics, and other automation systems.
4. Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma, GED Certification or equivalent is required.
• Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.
• Additional equivalent technical/trade school courses in a maintenance or construction related field.
• Two years of experience in general maintenance or construction is required.
• Knowledge of building construction and the operation of building systems is preferred.
• Automation knowledge.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
