The Business Development Representative - Central is dedicated to expanding the company’s market presence by fostering strong relationships with dealers, clients, and industry professionals. This role focuses on driving business growth through strategic outreach, effective promotion of products and services, and diligent management of client interactions. By leveraging market insights and collaborating with the marketing team, the representative aims to optimize sales strategies, manage budgets efficiently, and contribute to the company’s overall success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Relationship Management and Client Engagement
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with our dealer base to support their business growth.
- Engage with customers and address key inquiries about the company’s products or services.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with existing customers.
- Develop new relationships and input prospects into the CRM system.
Sales and Marketing Operations
- Promote the company’s products and services to potential clients.
- Document sales activities, including customer visits and distribution of marketing materials, in NetSuite CRM.
- Provide estimates for project-based work, such as large orders for products not previously purchased, targeting architects and engineers for upstream sales.
- Review sales contracts to ensure compliance with legal and corporate standards.
- Manage the sales and marketing budget for your territory, tracking expenses for promotions, travel, and meals.
- Research market trends and identify potential clients to broaden the company’s market reach.
- Collaborate with the Sales Director to align strategies and campaigns that support business development.
- Develop and deliver presentations that effectively showcase the company’s products or services to potential clients.
Compliance and Process Adherence
- Adhere to communication protocols, guidelines, and policies as directed.
- Analyze insights to refine sales strategies and identify areas for growth.
- Represent the company at industry events to network and generate leads.
REQUIRED SKILL / ABILITIES
- Proven record of sales growth
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience in customer service, marketing, or sales-related field
- Outstanding prioritizing and decision-making abilities
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Microsoft Office 365 - Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Knowledge in NetSuite ERP/CRM (preferred)
- Past job performance must reflect dependability, initiative, and a professional demeanor
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, Communication, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales role
- Experience in sand/gravel industry preferred
