What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apprentice Power Plant Technician - Gas Turbine position at Turlock Irrigation District?
Ability to: follow oral and written instructions; and establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Ability to: analyze problems logically; read and interpret plans and specifications; and keep records and prepare reports. Knowledge of: basic electricity and electronics; basic mechanical and hydraulic principles; and mathematics including a basic understanding of algebra, geometry and trigonometry.
Must furnish own hand tools.
Must be able to respond quickly to emergency calls.
This classification will be required to work a scheduled on call period. Employees who are assigned an on-call period have a response time obligation as listed below:
