This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR DAY PROGRAM DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL
As a full- or part-time Day Program Direct Support Professional, you will start your day by preparing for a variety of engaging activities. You will take clients to fun outings every week, such as picnics in the park, refreshing swims, exciting festivals and fairs, and friendly bowling competitions. You will lead creative exercise sessions, incorporating accessible yoga and other movement activities. Throughout the day, you will teach crucial social skills and daily living skills, empowering individuals to live more independently. You will assist with daily schedules, providing support with self-care, hygiene, motor skills, arts and crafts, vocational skills, work habits, and community inclusion. You will also assist with behavior management and recreational activities. You will model appropriate social skills and behaviors, creating a positive and supportive environment. At the end of the day, you will ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date, reporting any health or safety concerns promptly.
