Our full-time Summer Camp Program Director position will allow you to spread your wings and take the lead at our seasonal summer camp held for youth with disabilities. This temporary position works during the summer months. Summer camp sessions run from June 5 to August 7, 2025. Training will begin in mid-May. The typical schedule for summer camp is Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:30 pm.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE AS A SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Attention all social services rock stars! As a Summer Camp Program Director, you are responsible for the day-to-day operations of our seasonal camp program for children and teenagers with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As the Director, you're responsible for overseeing up to 15 campers and 5 staff members. Camp staff ensure the happiness and well-being of every camper in our program. This may include feeding, personal hygiene care, frequent assistance with moving or transfers, which includes lifting up to 50 pounds, assisting with mediation if needed, and transportation as necessary.
You take the initiative to create a safe and fun environment for summer campers. You also perform administrative functions such as financial management, liaison with external partners, reporting duties, and supervising program staff. You've got a passion for working with children and an ability to manage a diverse set of responsibilities, which makes you perfect for this seasonal social services role!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Minimum requirements for a Summer Camp Program Director:
- Experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (Experience with challenging behaviors will be given preference)
- 18 years of age
- Personal reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license, current motor vehicle insurance, and a clean driving record
- Ability to drive large program buses and vans for community engagement and transportation to/from campers' homes.
Additional qualifications:
- Knowledge of general medical conditions
- Demonstrated organizational prioritizing and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving leadership and teamwork experience
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Basic word processing and other basic computer skills
- Effective personal stress management
