About Turn Key Tunneling : Turn-Key Tunneling, Inc. is an Employee-Owned Company based out of Columbus, Ohio that specializes in trenchless technology services. Currently, we service most areas east of the Mississippi River. Turn-Key Tunneling are proven industry experts in all forms of trenchless excavation including auger boring, tunneling, vertical shafts, pedestrian tunnels, slip-lining, emergency culvert & sink hole repairs, utility work, oil & gas pipelines, and design build projects.
Job Summary :
As a trenchless estimator, you will be responsible for obtaining all relevant project specifications, determining the most appropriate building materials, secure favorable prices on all resources and creating accurate quantity take offs. The estimator should also inspect trends with clients and in the industry to determine whether estimates are competitive.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Review proposals, drawings, addendums, and specifications to determine the scope of work.
- Review geotechnical reports to determine how ground conditions will impact the estimate.
- Perform detailed quantity take offs.
- Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Assemble accurate estimates and proposals in a timely manner for all projects.
- Coordinate and communicate with other estimators and project managers to ensure estimates are complete and the best construction means and methods are utilized and followed.
- Organize subcontractors and material quotations, negotiate to ensure quotes meet contract documents.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and clients.
- Provide and maintain unit pricing and database for material and labor cost.
- Meet with potential clients to discuss options for proposed services.
