As a Direct Support Professional at Turnbridge, you will play a vital role in assisting clients on their journey to recovery. This position is essential in providing compassionate care and support, helping clients develop essential life skills while promoting their overall well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to clients in various activities of daily living.
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Encourage participation in therapeutic activities and skill-building exercises.
- Monitor client progress and provide feedback to the clinical team.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all clients.
- Document client interactions and progress accurately in compliance with policies.
- Foster positive relationships with clients to promote trust and engagement.
- Collaborate with team members to implement individualized care plans.
Qualifications
- Experience in caregiving or direct support roles, preferably within mental health or addiction treatment settings.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Basic knowledge of mental health disorders and recovery processes is preferred.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification is required.
- Ability to lift clients as needed; physical stamina is important.
- Strong organizational skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
