The Litigation Paralegal will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to attorneys throughout the litigation process. This role requires a high degree of professionalism, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation, including pre-trial preparation, discovery, trial, and post-trial activities.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information from various sources.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery requests and responses.
- Organize and manage case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
- Maintain and update case management databases and track case deadlines.
- Assist in the preparation of witnesses and evidence for trial.
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and other court appearances.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and expert witnesses.
- Summarize depositions, interrogatories, medical records, and testimony.
- Attend trials and provide on-site support to attorneys as needed / requested.
- Ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
