Job Description
Turner Child Development Center is seeking an experienced (at least 1 year) and energetic Preschool Teacher who enjoys working with children.
Our goal at Turner Child Development Center is to be fully staffed with employees will put for his/her fullest potential in meeting the following requirements:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to meet the needs of each child physically, emotionally, cognitively, and socially in the program.
- Provide the proper care for each child as needed, such as: providing proper nutrition, handling diapering and toilet training needs, and keeping children clean.
- Ensure that equipment and the facility is safe, clean, and maintained.
- Provide a safe and comfortable environment for children
- Remain aware of all surroundings in and outside center
- Comply with state licensing and accreditation regulations for childcare centers.
- Create, display, and implement engaging and age appropriate lesson plans (weekly).
- Work as a team with the child care center as a whole
- Be respectful, compassionate, understanding, and flexible
- Communicate with parents about their children on a regular basis
- Ensure that he/she maintains proper training in order to provide adequate and up-to-date care and education to children.

Qualifications
- ECD 101 and or 1 or more years of experience in early childhood education or related field.
- Proven experience in preschool teaching and classroom management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement engaging curriculum
- Knowledge of child development and behavior management techniques
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including special education needs
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
