Job Description:
We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on Concrete Superintendent to lead and manage concrete operations across a variety of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of concrete work—including walls, sidewalks, curb & gutter, and floor slabs—and must have experience in rod busting (rebar installation). This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and productivity in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all field activities related to concrete work on the job site.
- Lead crews in formwork, rebar placement (rod busting), concrete pours, finishing, and curing.
- Ensure work is completed according to project drawings, specifications, codes, and safety standards.
- Plan and schedule daily work activities in coordination with project management and subcontractors.
- Inspect work to ensure quality control and adherence to timelines.
- Maintain daily logs, time records, material deliveries, and progress reports.
- Conduct and participate in safety meetings, enforcing compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and other construction documents.
- Coordinate concrete delivery, placement, and pumping operations.
- Mentor and train field personnel to build a skilled, safety-focused team.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in concrete construction.
- Must have strong working knowledge of walls, sidewalks, curb & gutter, floor slabs, and related concrete elements.
- Hands-on experience in rod busting/rebar installation is required.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate field crews to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings accurately.
- Solid understanding of site safety protocols and regulations.
- Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
