The role of the Strategy Director, Media at Mindstream Media Group is to guide the team toward a plan that makes sense for the clients’ business situations. You consider the broader context – what is our audience thinking, feeling, doing, what are competitors up to, what the creative looks like, and so on. The Strategy Director, Media will not own the actual plan but will give colleagues the critical information to set them on a path to designing the plan to meet your strategy.The ideal candidate knows how to serve as a link between media, analytics and clients, while artfully communicating with an understanding of how to reinforce a balance between big pictures and details to deliver persuasive and informative content.Responsibilities : Understand situation around the media plans from clients : what is the marketing team trying to do, what are the business goalsWrite internal facing media briefs, translating goals into media objectivesRecommend audience definitionsProvide recommendations on budget allocations across types of channels (i.e. ‘50% video formats’, or ‘50% awareness driving channels’)Recommend alignments of message / CTA / creative and placementsAuthor stories of media plan presentations – communicate overarching strategy and how it will answer the challenges of the businessPartner closely with the lead analytics team member to inform the design of the measurement strategy, ensure reporting is set up to measure against the strategic imperatives, co-author slides for the regular client reporting meetingsCollaborate with brand strategists to strengthen strategic tools and approachesBring trendtracking to media planning processProvide clients with proactive content and POVsRevamp media briefs to go beyond functional information and aim to inspire great workRequirements : Minimum 7 years of experience in strategic planning, marketing strategy, media strategy or creative strategyStrong understanding of media planningPrevious agency experience strongly preferredStrong concise creative and business writing skillsAbility to collaborate across all teams (media creative analytics insights)Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills are requiredContributes to and helps steer a positive team work environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
