Vice President, Growth Marketing - CNN

We are seeking an exceptional and skilled leader to join our organization as the Vice President of the newly formed Learning Resource Group. This pivotal role will bring expertise in modern content creation techniques and practices, including leading this group's efforts to innovate through the latest technologies. The teams’ contributions comprise the work of our content developers (development editors and media editors) envisioning, testing, and creating individual learning assets and executing the development of longer form eBook revisions; our epub production team managing a set of publishing services; our media production team in charge of course delivery, QA, and release management; and permissions & rights. The successful candidate will be instrumental in transforming our content creation practices, introduce innovative practices including the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to increase creativity, capacity, and efficiency, and develop new agile content creation practices to help content teams create learning resources and assets nimbly and with care. We value your potential, and we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment where all individuals can thrive and contribute their best.Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to : Lead and integrate the efforts of the epub / eBook production, media production, permissions & rights, development editing, and media editorial teams.Enable development editorial and media editorial teams with the best tools, programs, and practices to advance their expertise at designing and creating content for learning.Modernize and standardize content creation techniques and practices to produce learning assets more quickly and economically, while maintaining high standards of quality.Collaborate closely with the VP of Discipline Strategy and the SVP of Pedagogical Design to ensure strategic alignment and optimal capacity planning across teams.Implement data-driven and metric-driven management approaches to optimize operations and track the development and execution of innovative working methods.Foster a change-oriented culture that enables content creators and leverages data to demonstrate progress and unify the team.Required Qualifications : Bachelor’s Degree.Proven leadership experience in a senior management role, preferably in a related industry that values content deployed via digital platforms.Strong background in content production and digital publishing.Demonstrable experience with data-driven decision-making and metric-based implementation.Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams.Adaptive leadership style with a commitment to driving change and innovation.Preferred Qualifications : Experience in educational technology or learning resource development.Experience in media, gaming, and technology industries outside educational publishing.Advanced degree in a relevant field.Salary : $175,000 - $225,000 / yearExemption Status : ExemptPhysical Requirements : Requires periods of close concentration.
