The Turner Group is seeking a motivated Senior Level Highway Engineer to join and continue the growth of our award-winning team in our Concord, NH office. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Delivery of infrastructure projects from conception through final design
- Researches code requirements and ensures feasibility of design solutions
- Follows and manages project budget, work plan, consultants, and schedule
- Communicates with Project Team and Clients
- Creates design solutions to meet all necessary design requirements and specifications
- Performs calculations using Excel and/or MathCad
- Generates hydraulic calculations for stormwater design
- Creates and proposes scope and fee
- Maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the Project Team
- Facilitates communication through meetings, minutes, and up-date memos to Project Team
- Ensures projects are in compliance with the office standards
- Coordinates work efforts while ensuring that the team remains on schedule and budget
- Construction administration including processing of submittals, RFI’s, and other project documentation
- Contributes to office leadership including professional development coaching and mentoring staff
- Minimum 8-15 years of highway design experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer registration
- Experience in AutoCad / Civil 3D / MicroStation / InRoads
- State DOT design experience
- A thorough understanding of drawings, details, and specifications
- Technical experience in document coordination and implementation
- Management experience integrating engineering and owner consultant teams
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Careful attention to detail and accuracy
