Job Title: Cement Finisher
We are seeking an experienced Cement Finisher for a full-time maintenance position in Point Comfort, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
This role involves smoothing and finishing surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, or curbs to specified textures.
Functional Requirements:
- Prepare surfaces for finishing by cleaning, leveling, and smoothing them using various tools and techniques.
- Repair and maintain concrete surfaces, which includes patching holes, cracks, and other damage.
- Adhere to safety standards and regulations while working with potentially hazardous materials and tools.
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
Physical Involvement:
May be required to climb ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintain balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reach in all directions; handle and manipulate objects and materials; coordinate movements of eyes, hands, and fingers to operate tools and equipment.
Mental Involvement:
May be required to follow set procedures and standards; follow oral/or written directions; knowledge of federal, state, and company standards and regulations; ability to read and write; recognize and report safety hazards, etc.
Work Schedule:
40 hours per week; overtime as needed.
Requirements:
- One (1) to four (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level).
- Must be able to pass drug screen.
- TWIC required.
- Must have valid drivers license.
Please note that no relocation or per diem is available for this position. The successful candidate will be a current resident in/near the area.
