We are seeking a Chemical Truck Loader for a position in Baton Rouge, LA. The Chemical Truck Loader will provide for safe, efficient operation of the packaging line equipment to ensure operations meet the quality, production demand, and environmental and safety compliance requirements. Non-exempt role; Reports to Supervisor; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.
Essential Qualifications :
- Must be willing to work a Day / Night 12-hour shift rotation : 3 days on / 2 days off - 3 nights on / 3 days off rotating schedule
- One (1) year experience in packaging, warehousing, or line worker experience preferred but not required
- Written pre-employment qualification test
- Post-offer drug / alcohol screen and physical evaluation
- Hazard Communication orientation / test
- Turner Industries Group, LLC indoctrination
- OSHA approved corrective eyewear (Z87)
- Job site orientation
- Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
- Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection
- Must have a TWIC card and Basic Orientation Card
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to create a safe working environment for yourself and others
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities effectively
- Applicant / employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the workplace
Functional Requirements :
Operate bulk line filler equipment in a safe and efficient manner; secure bulk bags by following recommended tying instructions; operate handheld scanner to scan barcodes; operate forklift to stage material in warehouse (preferred but not required); apply required labels on finished goods; operate stretch wrap machine; place jugs on conveyers; operate case (box) maker; operate drum and tote filling equipment; keep work area clean; perform quality checks on packaging material and finished goods; must have ability to stand between 6-8 during the duration of the shift; must be able to wear a dust mask (respirator) for up to 8 hours during the duration of the shift; perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
Compensation
Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement :
