Turner Industries Group is looking for a QA/QC Manager for short-term maintenance work in Mobile, AL.
Exercises independent judgment; works under Quality Director; directs supervisors and a group of employees in all production areas
Functional Requirements
Read and sign off on JSA; basic computer skills required; inspects work to ensure adherence to company standards; trains and assists workers in performance of their duties; supervises and coordinates activities of assigned workers; interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations; analyzes and resolves work related problems; ensures job site materials and equipment are in good condition; may maintain time, production and other records; may study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job and maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times
Qualification Standards
Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions; handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction
Mental Involvement
Employee may be required to do the following: following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work and selecting proper tools; comparing and understanding differences in the size, shape and form of pipe spools, figures and objects; following oral and/or written directions; reading and writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards

Qualification Standards
- Have minimum of 5 years of experience as a Class "A" Quality Control Inspector
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality Control Supervisor
- Have a current CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification or has previously held CWI certification
- Familiar with ASME and API Codes
- Have the ability to write welding and operating procedures
- Have the ability to perform all required NDE(with the exception of UT)
- Have the ability to schedule work activities and to coordinate with other departments
- Have the ability to conduct Pre-Fabrication Meetings and respond to questions from clients
- Have writing/reporting skills commiserate with job title
- Pre-employment qualification test if applicable
- Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
- Hazard Communication orientation/test

- OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87)
- Job site orientation
- Job site "Personal Protective Equipment" requirements (hearing protection, safety glasses, long sleeve shirt gloves, steel toe boots, etc.)
