Turner Industries Group is looking for experienced Scaffold Builders / Insulators for full-time work in the Ville Platte, LA area. The ideal candidate will have experience with scaffold building, insulating, and abatement activities. This role inspects surface for holes, objects and levelness; assembles scaffold consisting of guardrails, mid-rails, braces, planks, toe boards, screens and wheels; positions scaffold by rolling it into place; secures scaffold to permanent structure by tying. Covers, boilers, pipes, tanks and refrigeration units with insulating materials, such as fiberglass, cork, plastic and magnesia to reduce loss or absorption of heat, prevent moisture condensation and to deaden sound. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.
Essential Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass craft test or hold NCCER CertifiedPlus credential
- Must have TWIC card / Basic Plus
- Must be able to pass drug / alcohol screen and physical
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience
- Local candidates preferred, no per-diem or travel
Tools/Equipment:
Employee may be required to provide the following: tool box, tool belt, adjustable wrench, ratchet wrech with socket, claw hammer, cutting pliers, torpedo level, tape, and rain suit
Compensation
Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:
Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds structures, etc.; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction.
