Job Overview :
Turner Mining Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing a fleet of mining equipment valued between $200 million and $500 million. The ideal candidate will come from the mining industry, preferably with experience in metal mining, and will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of equipment maintenance and management.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of a fleet of mining equipment, including heavy machinery, trucks, and other support vehicles.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Manage a team of mechanics, technicians, and support staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate with operations to schedule maintenance activities, balancing production needs with equipment availability.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and part replacements.
- Monitor equipment performance and maintenance costs, making recommendations for improvements and cost-saving measures.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source parts and manage inventory.
- Analyze equipment failures and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
- Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, including labor, parts, and other expenses.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the team as needed.
