Job Description
The Barre Unified Union School District seeks an Assistant Director of Special Services to support the District and its member schools of Barre City Elementary and Middle School, Barre Town Middle and Elementary School and Spaulding High School.
The Assistant Director will work as a member of the BUUSD Special Services administrative team to provide shared oversight and leadership for special education services across the district. This involves identifying new practices, programs and requirements and developing creative proposals and solutions for improving services, supporting the coordination of all Pre-K to 12 building based special education services, activities with central office functions and oversight of special education related grants and transportation as assigned.
The Assistant Director of Special Services acts as a member of a team which ensures that staff comply with all applicable State and Federal regulations and laws, and further ensures that proper reporting, accountability procedures and all required activities are carried out.
