Job Description

Who are you?

You are an experienced Cost Controller with 5 - 7 years post-graduate experience looking for the next step or are currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environment

As Cost Controller, you will be involved with:

• Implement, administer and maintain cost control system and procedures to track project budgets, commitments, expenditures and forecasts for projects of medium complexity and value
• Assist in the preparation and review of cost estimates
• Provide cost information to support decision and alternative selection
• Evaluate and analyse fee proposals / bids and provide recommendation for decision making
• Provide forecasts and cash flow analysis
• Maintain and manage the cost report and provide regular updates on financial position
• Assist in the development, validation and maintenance of the project schedule
• Assist in developing reporting tracking tools and generates cost reports on regular basis including evaluation of earned value
• Build intricate spreadsheets to enable fast and accurate data manipulation of large datasets
• Extract data from several sources, transforming it to fit operational needs
• Reconcile data to support complete accuracy and creates a clean audit trail
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicabl

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of Cost Control experience
• A recognized university degree in Construction Management or related field
• Membership in a relevant professional organizations (i.e. RICS, AACEI).
• Certification or designation from a professional organization is an asset (i.e. MRICS, CCP)

Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is $130K-$170k per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.  Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
