Electrical Quality Assurance Representative Role
We are seeking an Electrical Quality Assurance Representative to support large-scale Data Center construction projects with our prominent technology client.
This team member will be responsible as an owners' representative for observing and tracking the delivery, installation, and testing of electrical and mechanical systems of a large-scale mission-critical facility to ensure compliance with the project-specific drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures compliance with the client's quality program and project-specific drawings and specifications via routine inspections of electrical and mechanical components and systems.
- Uses an electronic field device and software to communicate and track results of inspections and note deficiencies of installed components throughout the construction and early commissioning process.
- Prepares daily and weekly reports summarizing the inspections performed and their results.
- Tracks documented inspection issues / shortcomings through to resolution.
- Recognizes installation trends, takes initiative to investigate root-cause analysis, and recommends process improvement.
- Attends weekly team calls and as needed client meetings.
- Supports with creating check lists for tasks performed and additional project-related documentation.
Qualifications
5 - 7 years of electrical, construction, and/or quality assurance experience, of which 2 years of experience include complex, mission-critical facilities; data center, hospital, or large-scale construction experience required.
Requisite knowledge and application of electrical and building codes.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems means and methods, materials, and industry standards.
Thorough understanding of electrical engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.
Field construction experience.
Cross-functional team participation in a high-tech, dynamic environment.
Experience in data center construction is advantageous.
Project Management (or PMP) and Electrical certification, Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Able to walk distances on uneven sites, climb small ladders, and work in an active construction environment.
