What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Clerk position at Turners Outdoorsman?
Turner’s Outdoorsman, California's leading hunting, fishing, and outdoor sporting goods store, is looking for a reliable and dedicated Warehouse Clerk to join our team. This position involves warehouse activities which involve physical activities such as bending, lifting and loading. Turner's staff members are team players who strive for customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Flexibility to work occasional holidays and/or overtime
- Locate and pull product from shelves lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Responsible for paperwork ensuring accuracy
- Load delivery vehicles with product
- Help maintain organization of shipping area
- Daily interaction with company personnel throughout the Warehouse, Office and Stores
- Knowledge of hunting & fishing product is a plus
- Safely operate company vehicle on scheduled delivery routes
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries of merchandise to our locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Load and unload products with attention to care and safety
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
Skills and prerequisites include but will not be limited to:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work overtime during ‘peak’ seasons
- Good judgment skills
- Good math skills
- Ability to work in teams and with various levels of management and personnel
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Legally eligible to work in a firearms environment
- Must be 18 years or older
