What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Tow Truck Operator position at TURNEY REPAIR & TOWING, LLC?
Responsibilities:
- Respond to service calls for disabled vehicles and provide roadside assistance
- Operate a tow truck to safely and efficiently transport vehicles to designated locations
- Load and unload vehicles onto the tow truck using appropriate equipment
- Perform basic automotive diagnostics and minor repairs as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with vehicle issues and answering their questions
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and complete necessary paperwork
Requirements:
- Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and random drug screening during duration of employment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Commercial driving experience preferred
- Knowledge of automotive repair and mechanical systems
- Ability to operate a tow truck and forklift safely and effectively
- Proficient in manual transmission operation
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle conflict management situations professionally
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading vehicles
