About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Turning Leaf Agency. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing support to individuals with intellectual and developmental challenges in Eastern Connecticut.
Your primary responsibilities will include training, supervising, and supporting individuals in various settings, maintaining a professional environment, and acting as a liaison between assigned outside vendors. We require a valid driver's license, high school diploma or equivalent, and ability to pass a criminal and motor vehicle background check. Additionally, the candidate must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting a minimum of 50 pounds and driving agency vehicles for extended periods.
