Responsibilities
As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), you will:
- Train, supervise, and support individuals in various skill areas, ensuring quality support.
- Act as a primary liaison between assigned outside vendors, promoting individual inclusion within the community.
- Maintain individual daily schedules, including activities such as ADLs, financial, medical, and recreation.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals, managing supplies/equipment, facilities, and vehicles effectively.
- Clean and maintain homes, vehicles, and equipment.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds for assisting individuals with personal care needs or performing daily job duties.
- Have the ability to twist, bend, and reach immediately to address medical and behavioral incidents.
- Enter and exit agency vehicles at numerous stops for a minimum of one hour and drive agency vehicles for a minimum of 30 minutes without stops.
- Successfully complete agency training, including CPR, First Aid, PMT, Medication Certification, etc.
