Manager - Patient Transportation and Communications
Turning Point is seeking an experienced leader and change management champion for our full-time Manager of Patient Transportation and Communications position. The Transportation/Communications Manager achieves patient transportation operational objectives by contributing patient transportation information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; determining patient transportation system improvements; and implementing change. This role oversees patient drivers, receptionists, and the transportation scheduler. The transportation and communications departments operate 24/7 and on-call availability is required.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Exhibits excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients, peers, staff, and vendors.
- Communicates and functions productively on an interdisciplinary team.
- Conducts staff meetings to keep transportation staff informed; meets with management regarding department activities and coordinates project planning. Participates in all department manager level meetings.
- Supervision of all safety programs associated with agency’s transportation function.
- Participates as key transportation representative in regards to Budget formulations. Oversight and accountability for all budgetary items for the Transportation Department.
- Oversees scheduling of all routes and transportation requests to be completed in the most time and cost efficient manner.
- Establishes and enforces operating and preventive maintenance rules; arranging for repairs.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Expert computer skills and knowledge of advanced office equipment required.
- Understanding of hospital practices to include, but not limited to, patient rights and confidentiality required.
- Experience in healthcare transportation preferred.

Current Georgia Driver's License with:
- No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
- Not having multiple violations for driving without insurance
- No more than 2 at fault accidents on record in the past 3 years
- No convictions for DUI or DWI within the past 7 years
- No convictions for serious infractions such as reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, or fleeing a police officer
- No convictions for vehicular homicide manslaughter
